Known for large, sweet fruits with thin purple skin with a red to violet flesh. Also known for being extremely tolerant to cold temperatures, and produces well in coastal climates. Fruit begins to ripen in July. Plant in full sun and well-draining, loamy soil for best performance.

Best fruit production begins 2-3 years after planting. Grows to mature height of 8-12 feet, and 8-10 feet wide.
