Formic Pro is derived from formic acid, which is naturally occurring in many species, including bees and ants. Formic Pro is noted for being a strong natural mite medication that is effective not only on phoretic mites, but also mites under the wax cappings of developing brood. 

Temperature ranges for treatment with Formic Pro:  

3 or more days of 50-84 degree temperatures

If temperatures are too low the medicine will lose effectiveness, and if temperatures are too high medication can cause harm to bees including brood breaks, brood losses, and queen loss.
