Use drone comb in the summer to trap varroa mites and reduce the mite population as much as 50%, without using chemicals! Frames are double-coated with wax, making them much easier for the bees to draw out.  Please note that these drone frames are only available to fit DEEP hive bodies, but can be cut down to accommodate western boxes.

In order to effectively control mite levels, it is CRITICAL that drone frames be pulled before drones begin to hatch.

For easy drone removal and cleaning, first freeze the frame for 3 days.
