We Plan You Plant Service Native Design
$175.00
The ‘Native Garden’ We Plan You Plant service is perfect for those who need guidance on designing a small garden area (no larger than 300 sq. ft.) with a focus on native plants. The design may include a mix of native and non-native plants depending on customer preference, but with a primary focus on natives. This is a design-only service, meant for those who intend to do the prep and planting themselves.
Ideal for ‘difficult to establish’ areas, perennial borders, walkways, and entry gardens. Here's what to expect:
- A design consultation at your home (45 minutes max) to discuss the vision and goals for the planting area.
- A custom design sketch and list of plant suggestions.
- A final consultation at Shonnard’s Nursery with the Garden Designer to review the design and be shown available plant selections.
What to Expect After Your Purchase:
Within 3 days of purchase you will be emailed a pre-consultation form (please check your Spam folder as email can often get caught there) that can be completed at your earliest convenience.
Once the form is submitted, you will be able to schedule the Garden Coach consult. Consultations can be scheduled within 1-2 weeks of submitting the form.

About Our Garden Designer - Triston

My name is Triston Nelson, and I'm excited to help fellow Oregonians design and cultivate their own piece of the Pacific Northwest. I grew up immersed in the nursery and houseplant world, tagging along to work with both my mom and grandma. Those early experiences fostered a lifelong appreciation for plants and a deep respect for the beauty and resilience of the natural world. I graduated from Oregon State with a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resource Management specializing in Ecological Restoration, while maintaining a position here at Shonnard’s. Combining my education with years of hands-on nursery experience has imbued me with a deep understanding of Oregon's native landscapes and how to translate them into beautiful, functional, and manageable home gardens. I believe every landscape can support both the people who enjoy it and the ecosystems that surround it. When I’m not at the Nursery, I love creating! Whether that’s painting, making pottery, or dabbling in music production. On my days off, you can most certainly find me by a body of water enjoying all this wonderful area has to offer.
I'm grateful to be part of the talented team at Shonnard's, where we share a passion for helping our community grow beautiful, thriving gardens. Whether you're starting from scratch, refreshing an existing landscape, or looking to incorporate more native plants, I'd love to help bring your vision to life and create a landscape that is beautiful, sustainable, and restorative for years to come
