Jupiter Grape is a woody vine that is typically grown for its edible qualities. It produces large clusters of navy blue round fruit with powder blue overtones which are usually ready for picking from early to mid fall. The fruit will often fade to black over time. The seedless fruits have a sweet taste and a juicy texture.
The fruit are most often used in the following ways:
Large, deep blue, seedless, thin-skinned fruit with a wonderful, sweet and mild flavor; a great table, or wine making grape; vigorous and disease resistant; use as a screen for arbors or winding along fences, requires regular pruning and full sun.
