Festuca Roemeri Roemers Fescue Small

Habit:  Will grow in good draining soil in full sun to part shade. Fine leaves and tight clump of blue green foliage holding color through winter; 1 foot tall spikes with tan flowers appear in late spring. Spreads quickly by seed. Excellent erosion control plant, and is an important nutrition source for wildlife.

Direct Sow:  Mix contents of seed packet with 3 times as much vermiculite or fine coir.  Spread on bare disturbed ground in early fall.  Covers 100 square feet.

In Container:  Scatter 4-5 seeds per pot or cell, on top of soil surface, in late fall for planting out 12-15” apart in spring.
