European pear, ripens late August. Most popular pear. Sweet, and flavorful right off the tree. This is also a great canning variety.

The most commercially popular pear, produces excellent quality yellow-green fruit in early fall; very showy white flowers in spring and an upright oval habit, very ornamental; can be susceptible to fireblight.

Cross-Pollination Guide:

• Self-fertile
• While some pears are considered self-fertile (setting fruit when pollinated with their own pollen), ALL varieties produce a better yield of fruit with cross pollination.
• Pears can be pollinated by most any other pear varieties as long as both are blooming around the same time.
