Ripens early September. Medium size, oval deep purple skin and golden yellow free-stone flesh. Wonderful sweet plum/prune great for fresh eating as well as canning and drying. Stanley has good disease and pest resistance.

A common commercial fruit tree with showy fragrant white flowers in spring followed by large blue fruit in late summer, considered by many to be the best prune plum; ornamental habit for a fruit tree; needs full sun, well-drained soil.

Cross-Pollination Guide:

• Plums can be pollinated by most any other plum varieties as long as both are blooming around the same time, and are the same type (Japanese or European).
• Best Pollenizer: Blue Damson, Green Gage, Italian, Early Italian.
