A deciduous, clumping shrub presenting terminal clusters of pink flowers appearing from early to mid summer; will form thickets if suckers are not removed; do not allow to fully dry out; will naturalize in moist soils. Plant in full sun spots that either get irrigated often or retain moisture well. Found alongside ponds, streams, & wetlands in the wild. Jackson-Frazier park is a great spot here in Corvallis to find them!
