Good coastal variety!
Ripens in late August to early September. Red striped on yellow apples that are firm, crisp and juicy. Excellent apple for all uses. Fair storage life.
An excellent dessert or cooking apple; ideal for home landscapes, needs well-drained soil and full sun.
Disease Resistant:
- Fire Blight Resistant
- Cedar Apple Rust Resistant
Cross-Pollination Guide:
- Flowering Group: A
- Pollen Needs: A, B
Triploid type - This variety does not produce pollen and needs a pollinator; they will not pollinate other varieties, and perform best with 2 different pollinators. For example, planting a Gravenstein with an Empire and a Fuji would allow the Gravenstein to be cross-pollinated by the Fuji (or Empire), and the Fuji and Empire would cross-pollinate each other.
All bare root selections are expected to be in stock by the end of January. Please call us at 541-929-3524 if you have any further inquiry into arrival dates and availability.
